Leadership Development, Conflict Management, Problem Solving and Goal Setting Workshops
Leadership Development Workshops
Leading today is a complex, multi-faceted task. A good leader needs to “wear many hat’s and wear them well!” The manager or leader must keep track of all elements under his or her direction, as well as control and respond quickly and effectively when required. OWLS offers Leadership Development Workshops.
Management techniques without people sensitivity can become cold and negative. Humanistic management concepts can become too soft, too diplomatic and nonproductive. The combination of these two leadership philosophies can give us the best of both worlds: tough, result-oriented management with people sensitivity. In effect, we are placing the iron fist of management by objectives in the velvet glove of sensitivity and motivation. More than ever, leaders need to have flexibility in management as opposed to a rigid way of dealing with people and situations. The end result can be action-oriented management that responds to people from a basic psychological need viewpoint. Often, the productivity of the team can greatly increase. That is why leadership development workshops for your key managers are so effective.
Conflict Management Workshops
Conflicts can destroy a company, but in more cases they tend to limit its expansion. We allow young companies to grow old, old companies to increase profit and respect.
Effective conflict management in organizations is situational and emotional intelligence must be applied to deal with each person and conflict differently. We include all the right elements to really reach your people in the following categories through direct confrontation, facilitated discussions, exercises and group activities:
- Conflict resolution strategies
- Conflict resolution techniques
- Conflict resolution skills
- Conflict management skills
- Managing conflict in the workplace
- Team conflict resolution
- Conflict resolution tips
- Conflict resolution steps
- Conflict resolution training
Problem Solving Workshops
Without excellent problem solving skills, teams find it tough to solve business problems and take advantage of opportunities.
Our Problem Solving workshops identify teams’ existing level of competence in terms of problem-solving, introduce new skills to take them to a higher level, and then give them an opportunity to apply and practice their new skills through a series of problem solving initiatives. This is a process we have defined as Action Reflection Learning. In our workshops we specifically address:
- Problem solving skills
- Problem solving techniques
- Creative problem solving
- Problem solving strategies
- Collaborative problem solving
- Problem solving process
- Problem solving steps
- Process of decision making
- Interactive problem solving
- Problem solving methods
- Problem solving and decision making
- Group conflict resolution
- Problem-solving skills
- Making good decisions
Goal Setting Workshops
Much like a road map, goals give direction to our professional and personal lives by providing the vision for what we want to achieve and the motivation that drives us toward our desired results. Having goals also enhances our ability to make sound decisions, improves our ability to manage our time, reduces stress and helps us to live happier, more fulfilled lives.
For some, setting goals proves to be quite challenging: like the directionally-challenged driver without a map, they simply don’t know where to start, which way to go, or where they’ll end up. For others, setting goals is easy; it’s achieving them that’s the challenge. In this workshop, you’ll identify the obstacles, fears and roadblocks that have prevented you from identifying and accomplishing your goals. You’ll also learn the importance of S.M.A.R.T. goals and will develop and implement a written plan to direct you towards achieving all of your professional and personal aspirations.
